Anthony & Sam Freedman Racing are looking for an Assistant Trainer to join our team.
The successful applicant will be based at our Cranbourne base, overseeing and assisting with the day to day management of our stables and business.
• Management of daily operations and implement Trainer’s training regime for each horse.
• Maintaining horse records in line with the Australian Rules Of Racing.
• Co-ordinate transport logistics for stable – Races, Trials, Jump Outs, Paddock.
• Liaise with external suppliers including Vet, Farriers & Feed Companies.
• Work with the Trainers and Racing Manager to service owners.
• Create and harbour an inclusive working environment.
• Representing the stable at race meetings and liaise with Jockeys, Owners and Staff.
• Recognise injuries and illnesses in horses and ensure treatments.
• Competent English both verbal and written.
• Good experience in a racing stable as a foreman or assistant trainer.
• Be confident in handling and educating horse.
• Knowledge and understanding of Australia Rules of Racing.
• Aspire to uphold elite standards and communication.
• Knowledge of occupational health & safety protocols and best stable practices.
