Pakenham Racing Club (PRC) has a great reputation in the thoroughbred racing industry for the high standard of racing and training surfaces.

Working with the Manager -Tracks we’re on the lookout for a an experienced team member who will work closely with the grounds maintenance team in the daily maintenance and preparation of the racing and training surfaces as well as general racecourse maintenance.

You will be a hands on and highly motivated individual who takes pride in the quality of your work because in this role you’ll be focussed on the daily preparation of the racing and training tracks at Sportsbet Pakenham.  This can involve mowing, watering, harrowing amongst other preparation work.

You’ll work under the specific instruction of the Manager - Tracks and with the grounds team to ensure that PRC continues to deliver quality racing and training surfaces to the industry!

Some of the Skills & Experience we want you to have include

• Experience in a similar role.
• You’ll have strong knowledge in the use of agricultural and turf machinery used to prepare the racing and training surfaces.
• Knowledge of equine racing and training surfaces of the industry is desirable but not essential. We can help you transition from other industries.
• A good understanding of the machinery, tools & chemicals used in the curation of the racing and training surfaces.
