TE AKAU RACING - Track Rider

Te Akau Racing is currently looking for passionate, hardworking and reliable Track Rider to join our Cranbourne team under Head Trainer Mark Walker and assistant, Ben Gleeson.

The successful candidate must have a thorough knowledge, understanding and ability in track work riding and horse handling, more specifically:

• Riding gallops to instruction and time
• Riding horses of all abilities and vices, including educating young horses such as yearlings
• Capable of barrier work and education
• Providing thorough and accurate feedback as to how horses are working and feeling
• Work in a team environment with other horses and people
• Be reliable and punctual to work
• Optional full-time or casual work available

Salary will depend on riding ability and level of experience.
