Stud Hand & Foaling Down Positions

Bowness Stud & Watershed Farm are seeking experienced stud hands to assist with the up coming breeding season. Applicant must have:

• Experience in foaling mares and handling foals;
• Knowledge in administering various equine treatments;
• Experience in safely moving horses from paddock to crush;
• Efficient record keeping and reporting skills;
• Attention to detail, diligence in timely reporting, excellent communication;
• Ability to judge and make decisions;
• Experience in stallion handling & joining.

The position has an on-going role which involves checking paddock stock, feeding and attending to mare, weanling, spelling & yearling needs.
