Bowness Stud & Watershed Farm

Watershed Farm and Bowness Stud are two farms in partnership, operating a large thoroughbred breeding, spelling, sale preparation and agistment enterprise.

Bowness Stud currently stands two stallions during the breeding season – Bullet Train (shuttle stallion) and Bon Hoffa.  There are opportunities to assist with the foaling down, veterinary assistance and post natal care during the busy stud season.

We sell large drafts every year at the major yearling sales around the country from January to July, including the Magic Millions – Gold Coast (January and June) & Adelaide and the Inglis Sales – Classic, Easter & Melbourne Premier.  We also sell at broodmare and weanling sales throughout the year at the Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne.

Current facilities include 70 modern stables, two 8 horse walking machines, numerous round and day yards.  This is a ‘hands-on” family owned and operated business that produces home grown grain and fodder.
