REC Equine Specialists is one of Australia’s largest equine practices, established in 1951 and located in Horsley Park. The practices’ mission is to provide the highest quality state-of-the-art veterinary services to the racing, performance and pleasure horse industry in the greater Sydney area.
Due to substantial growth in the business we are looking for a personable, professional and motivated Stable Hand to join our friendly team. This role involves the daily care and handling of sports, thoroughbred and pleasure horses and is pivotal to the support of delivering quality clinical care and exceptional customer service.
32 hours per week casual from Monday to Sunday between 6am and 6pm plus be available for an afterhours roster (once per week).
Your new role
In your new role you will provide:
- Mucking out boxes
- Feeding horses
- Holding horses during veterinary treatments
- Maintaining general stable and yard cleanliness and organisation
- Loading / unloading horses from transport
- Willing to assist with our afterhours roster
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed this in this role you will:
- possess previous experience in a stable hand position
- have confident horse handling experience - essential
- be motivated and self-sufficient
- be personable, professional and well-presented
- be punctual and reliable
