Edward O'Rourke and team are looking for the right candidate to join the team at our Hawkesbury stables. flexible working arrangements negotiable.
Prior thoroughbred experience desired though not essential.
The daily duties and responsibilities include (though aren't limited to):
- Provide daily care and welfare for thoroughbred racehorses including feeding, grooming, watering, and rugging etc
- Safely handle horses for exercise, trackwork preparation, and general stable operations
- Monitor horses for injuries, illness, or abnormal behaviour and report concerns promptly
- Maintain clean, hygienic, and organised stables, yards, equipment, and feed areas
- Assist with race day, trial day, veterinary, and horse transport preparations
- Follow Racing NSW Rules of Racing, integrity standards, and animal welfare requirements
- Adhere to workplace health and safety procedures and safe horse handling practices
- Work collaboratively with trainers and stable staff while maintaining professionalism.
Note, we do not qualify for 88 day visa requirements. We do not have accomodation on site and hence transport will be required.
