Hawkes Racing is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Ground Staff member to join our team at our Flemington stable. Working alongside one of Australia’s leading racing stables, you’ll play an important role in the daily care and presentation of our thoroughbred racehorses.
Duties include:
● Daily horse care and handling
● Saddling, washing and grooming horses
● General stable cleaning and maintenance
● Loading and unloading walkers
● Assisting at barrier trials and race meetings
● Other general stable duties as required
About you:
● Previous experience in a racing stable is essential
● Reliable, punctual and hardworking
● Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
● Able to work well within a team
● Strong horsemanship skills and attention to detail
