The Finance Manager role will be a pivotal cog in our dynamic team and will be expected to show the ability to work both independently within a fast-paced team environment.

The role is very much a "hands on" position with two key focuses being the Customer Support lead for those Prism clients using the Finance Module and also the day-to-day management of Prism finance function.

The successful applicant will report directly to the Managing Director and the Head of Customer Support.

Advanced understanding of Xero is a requirement, with exposure to other systems such as MYOB, Reckon, Ardex, Stable Eyes also seen as advantageous.

Previous experience in the equine industry is also considered an advantage, particularly service roles that have required the management of multiple equine clients.

JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of the finance function for Prism, including but not limited to invoicing, creditor/debtor control, reconciliations, payroll, supplier management and payments, accounts management and reporting
  • Maintaining all required documentation, reports, and filings
  • Detailed budget and forecasting management
  • Assisting with strategy and continual improvement and approach to the betterment of Prism, it’s partners and clients
  • Data analysis and reporting
  • Client onboarding including the set-up of Chart of Accounts, Rules, Pricing, Opening Balances for Prism clients using the Finance Module
  • Client Online training sessions for those starting out on the Prism Finance Module
  • Assistance with monthly Statement runs for those clients using the Prism Finance Module
  • General Customer enquiries regarding the finance function in Prism and Xero
  • Creation and development of key reports for Prism Management and clients
  • Advanced knowledge of Xero accounting software, exposure to other accounting packages, and the Microsoft Office Suite of products required
  • Finance and Business Administration qualifications preferred subject to candidate’s experience
  • Experience and interest in the equine industry and specifically the thoroughbred racing industry an advantage
