Job description: Duties include but are not limited to:
- Prepare and strap horses for trackwork, trials and races
- Feed, groom and follow all reasonable instruction to promote, maintain and improve the quality of horse management and training of racehorses
- Report to Trainer or Foreperson all elements of horse's performance
- Any other basic stable duties
Locations & Schedule: Kulnura
- Monday to Saturday 0600-1700
- Sunday 0700-1700
Wyong
- Monday to Saturday 0400-1000, 1500-1700
- Sunday 0600-1000, 1500-1700
Requirements:
- Stablehand: must have 1+ year horse handling experience and be familiar with stable duties
- Sr Stablehand: Must have 3+ years of racing stable experience, in a similar role
- Must hold valid driving license and have reliable transport
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary DOE significantly above Award, with 1- and 3-year longevity increases
- Stablehand: $31.50 - $36.40 / hr. (Target Annual Compensation in excess of $80,000)
- Sr. Stablehand: $35.80 - $38.05 / hr. (Target Annual Compensation in excess of $95,000)
