The Opportunity

Due to an internal promotion, an opportunity has arisen for a professional and experienced Compliance Coordinator to join the Club Partnerships and Assets team on a permanent basis.

The purpose of the position is to facilitate Queensland racing clubs and Racing Queensland (RQ) compliance requirements across the three codes of racing. The position is also required to ensure club information and records are validated and of a high quality and recorded accurately in RQ’s Customer Relationship Management system and data warehouse.

· Ensuring the accurate and timely collation of documentation for Queensland racing clubs and providing reporting, analysis, and interpretation of the associated financial activity in line with the Racing Act 2002.

· Administering the terms set out in the Club Funding Agreement.

· Assisting with the monthly club operational funding process by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of information is achieved.

· Assessing club eligibility for funding in accordance with the terms set out in the Club Funding Agreements.

· Assisting with reconciling annual financial data to enable management reporting.

· Coordinating and implementing the annual and monthly club compliance process.

· Assisting with processing monthly club operational compliance in CRM and data warehouse.


The Success Profile

·       A certificate IV / Diploma in business administration / accounting or related field and commensurate demonstrated experience in a similar role.

·       Excellent financial and analytical skills to ensure the highest level of data integrity and interpretation of incomplete or inaccurate information.

·       Experience in report and dashboard creation.

·       Experience in providing and resolving administration services with limited guidance.

·       Ability to work autonomously and adapt communication approach to meet business requirements.

·       Ability to solve complex problems requiring consideration of a range of options.

·       Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects.

·       Ability to influence and convince stakeholders, internal clients and industry participants in the achievement of objectives.

·       Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.

·       Experience with Salesforce or similar application desirable.
