Assistant Foreperson

Matthew C. Smith Racing is a multiple Group 1 winning stable based at Warwick Farm, Sydney. We are currently seeking an assistant foreperson to join our winning team. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual looking to take the next step in their career. The ideal candidate will possess previous experience in a thoroughbred racing stable, non-thoroughbred disciplines (harness racing, showjumping etc.) are also encouraged to apply, and have the following attributes:

• Excellent horse handling skills
• Experienced in all aspects of horse care and husbandry
• Ability to work as part of a dedicated team
• Ability to follow instructions
• Leadership qualities required to manage staff and day-to-day requirements in a fast-paced environment
• A positive and friendly manner
• Reliability and punctuality
• A thirst for racing knowledge and a desire to learn
