Track Manager / Track Curator

The Northam Race Club is seeking an enthusiastic person to lead our horticultural team.

The Northam Race Club is a premier provincial club within Western Australia hosting 20 – 25 race meetings per year between the months of April and December.  Highlights of the racing include the Group 3 Northam Stakes and the Listed Northam Cup. Predominately a winter track, maintenance and planning to ensure an uninterrupted racing program and safe racing surface is paramount.

The successful applicant will

• Possess Sports Turf Management Qualifications and experience
• Have a developed understanding of Occupational Safety and Health
• Have experience in maintaining and operating pressurised reticulation systems
• Hold a C class drivers’ licence
• Have experience in Management or Leading hand positions
• Have great time management
• Be physically fit as the role is a hands on position

The position is a full-time position of minimum 38 hours per week and requires some weekend duties.

Remuneration will be negotiated with the successful applicant based on qualifications and experience.

Experience and understanding of the thoroughbred racing industry would be advantageous but not essential.
