ARARAT TURF CLUB - TRACK MANAGER
A unique and exciting opportunity exists for a successful candidate to join the team at the Ararat Turf Club as Track Manager, the role is a full-time position (or altered hours by negotiation).
The Track Manager will coordinate the preparation and maintenance of the Ararat Racecourse racing and training surface along with the upkeep of the club’s grounds and facilities. The primary objective of the role is to ensure the needs of thoroughbred racing and training are met in compliance with Club and Industry standards.
An understanding of the racing industry is essential along with a turf maintenance qualification or demonstrated experience in a turf maintenance role together with strong communication and leadership skills and an ability to solve problems within a multi-stakeholder environment. The successful applicant will be required to manage some casual labour and be available to communicate with key stakeholders within the club and thoroughbred racing industry as required as well as operate machinery.
