TE AKAU RACING - Stable Hand

Te Akau racing is currently looking for passionate, hard working and reliable stable hand to join our Cranbourne team!

Experience with horses is preferred but not essential.

Applicants will be required to carry out the following roles and responsibilities:

• Cleaning and maintaining horse boxes to a high standard.
• Feeding and watering horses in accordance with daily care routines.
• Assisting with horses during morning track work and exercise routines.
• Saddling, swimming, hosing, grooming, and providing daily care and maintenance for each horse.
• Attending race days, barrier trials, and performing strapping duties.
• Carrying out general stable cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Working effectively both independently and within a team environment.

Welcoming applicants of all experience levels, with opportunities to learn and develop skills in horse handling and stable operations within a supportive team environment.

Salary will depend on level of experience.

We do not currently provide accommodation.

Te Akau Racing is one of New Zealand’s most successful stables – and an internationally renowned racing operation. We have now expanded our operation into Australia, where Cranbourne in Victoria is our base.
