Stud Hand - Spellers and Broodmare Operations

We are looking for a team player with great initiative to join our team at Seymour Park.  THIS IS US Seymour Park, located near Seymour, VIC in the Goulburn Valley region, is the joint venture of Seymour Bloodstock and Mark Pilkington Management, providing breeding, spelling and young stock handling of quality thoroughbreds. We breed, we sell, we buy, we hope, we race, we agist, we learn, we listen, we cry, we laugh, we respect and above all else we enjoy… THE ROLE We are looking for a team player with great initiative to join our team as Stud Hand at Seymour Park. You will be responsible for the general day-to-day care of the horses, including feed runs, mucking out, treatments and grooming. This role requires knowledge of equine husbandry and a willingness to learn! Ideal Candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of industry experience working with Thoroughbreds. THE SPECIFICS Requirements:

• Previous experience with horses including broodmares, spellers and young stock.
• Experience with Prism beneficial but not required
• Must hold a full drivers license

Daily tasks:

• Daily care including feed runs, mucking out and grooming
• Work across the broodmare and spelling departments as required
• Administering treatments, IM and IV injections to sick/injured horses
• Monitor all horses for sickness and injuries
• Assist with foal handling and weaning
• Assisting vets, farriers and other contractors when required

*Attractive Roster - working only 2 in every 5 weekends. You will be required to work outside of normal hours including weekend work and occasional additional hours if needed. Applications.
