Racing NSW is the statutory regulator of thoroughbred racing in New South Wales, responsible for the control, supervision and regulation of racing throughout the State.
Racing NSW Stipendiary Stewards are recognised nationally and internationally for their role in safeguarding the integrity of racing. Stewards perform critical regulatory functions, including race day adjudication, investigation of breaches of the Rules of Racing, evidence assessment and enforcement decision-making.
An opportunity now exists for a highly motivated individual to undertake a Stipendiary Steward Traineeship within the Racing NSW Stewards Department.

We are seeking candidates who demonstrate:
A genuine interest in horse racing is essential. Knowledge of the thoroughbred racing industry and the Rules of Racing is desirable but not mandatory.
Due to the operational nature of the role, applicants must be prepared to work on a five-day-out-of-seven roster and attend metropolitan and provincial racecourses throughout NSW.
Shortlisted applicants will undergo a probity assessment. The provision of disclosure statements and adherence to the Racing NSW Code of Conduct for Stipendiary Stewards are mandatory requirements of the role.
