Stockwell Thoroughbreds are seeking a Stallion Handler for the upcoming breeding season.
With our stallion numbers increasing this season we are looking for a enthusiastic and hardworking person to join our stallion team.
The successful applicant must have previous experience with Stallions and working in the covering shed, be able to work autonomously as well as in a small team, be proactive and forward thinking. We seek genuine horse people who will create a bond with the stallions and each of their individual personalities.
Duties include daily routine care of the Stallions and covers, plus the other aspects of stud work, such as working with broodmares and foals, occasional afternoon foal watch, feeding, mucking out as well as assisting with vetting as required. You will be required to keep the stallion areas maintained ie mowing, raking, stick picking, repairs to fences and watering lawns etc.
