Sydney’s largest Equine Veterinary Practice is currently accepting applications for an experienced Stable Manager.
The Stable Manager is responsible for:
- all aspects of handling and care of our horses whilst in hospital incl. loading and unloading of horses
- supervising stable hands and managing the stable roster
- providing horse safety induction to new staff
- assist in preparation of horses for surgery, xrays etc
- grooming of horses
- maintains the buildings and grounds cleanliness
- general maintenance around stables
- assisting vets/interns/nurses
- ordering feed, bedding and equipment
- overseeing the hiring of stablehands
Requirements:
- experience as a professional Stable Manager
- significance experience and confidence in handling thoroughbreds
- strong communication, organisation and time management skills
- hands-on approach
