Anthony Freedman Racing is looking to hire a foreman for our Pinecliff stables in Mount Eliza. We are looking for a team leader who is ambitious and driven, who will use their previous experience and skill to oversee the well-being and care of both our horses and staff.
Specific Tasks & Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations and implement Trainer’s training regime for each horse at Pinecliff
- Manage staff roster including full-time, part-time, riding and casual staff
- Maintain horse records in line with the Australian Rules Of Racing
- Help co-ordinate transport logistics for stable – Races, Trials, Jump Outs, Paddock
- Work directly with external suppliers including Vet, Farriers & Feed Companies
- Work with the Trainers and Racing Manager to service Owners
- Create and harbour an inclusive working environment
- Occasionally represent Stable at race meetings and liaise with Jockeys, Owners and Staff
- Any other tasks as directed by Trainers
Requirements
- Good experience in a racing stable, preferably as a foreman
- Be confident in handling and educating horse
- Knowledge and understanding of Australia Rules of Racing
- Aspire to uphold elite standards and communication
- Knowledge of occupational health & safety protocols and best stable practices
