Hinterland Thoroughbreds is seeking an experienced horse professional to oversee our spelling horses at our farm in Canungra, QLD, on a permanent full-time basis.
This is a busy senior role where you will lead the spelling team in all activities involved in the care of our horses including feeding, grooming and rugging horses, leading horses around the farm and loading them on and off horse trucks, cleaning out stables, barns and vehicles and assisting vets and farriers when required.
This position is suited to applicants with exceptional horsemanship skills, a minimum three years hands on thoroughbred experience in a leadership capacity and can handle young thoroughbred colts with confidence and care. Applicants must also have strong verbal and written communication skills, be able to demonstrate good attention to detail, have a solid knowledge of wound and injury management and must hold a MR licence or the ability to obtain one.
