Employment Opportunity – Race-day Swab Official (Northern Rivers & Mid-North Coast)
Racing NSW is the representative body appointed for leadership and regulation of thoroughbred horse racing throughout NSW. Its responsibilities include protecting the image, interests and integrity of racing.
One of Racing NSW’s key functions is the management of a rigorous and robust drug control program to ensure the highest level of industry integrity is maintained.
An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a casual swab official within primarily the Mid North Coast Racing Association (MNCRA) and part of the Northern Rivers Racing Association (NRRA). The area to be serviced being that between Taree and Coffs Harbour.
The primary responsibility of a swab official is the collection of urine samples from thoroughbred horses at race meetings for subsequent drug testing.

The Race-Day Swab Official is a casual position that requires, on average, 2 days service a week. Such commitments being on irregular days, including weekends and public holidays, at varying racecourses. As such the successful applicant will require flexible personal commitments to accommodate the role.
As this is an integrity-based role, any potential applicant will be required to disclose any conflict of interest, perceived or otherwise, with industry participants. The successful applicants will undergo a probity check.
