Stable Staff
Example of duties include;
- Attention to detail for care of horses
- Attending race days / barrier trials
- Cleaning boxes / barns / yards
- Taking temperatures
- Preparing horses for trackwork
- Feeding, hays and waters
- Taking horse to / from racecourse
- Loading / unloading walker
- Care of tack / rugs / stable equipment
Riders
- Riding Skills: Ability to ride 8 – 10 horses per morning, with a strong emphasis on riding pace/timed work.
- Training Expertise: Proven ability to train and educate a variety of horses, including young and inexperienced horses, colts, and seasoned racehorses. Experience in barrier education, jumpouts, and timed fast work is essential.
- Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to take instructions from various individuals and exhibit a high level of communication.
- Team Player: Must be capable of working effectively and efficiently both as part of a team and independently.
