The Role

With the ongoing expansion of the Clubs training services and the building of two uphill training tracks, we’re building our team up in readiness.

As part of the Trainer Services team, you’ll typically work an 11-day fortnight.  Shifts start around 3:10am & finish around 9:45am.  This role is to assist leading and developing the team that monitor the adherence to the rules of training and OH&S obligations are followed for the Pakenham trainers and their employees.  You’ll also provide backup support to the Trainer Services Manager.

The Right Fit

Some of the key skills and experience you’ll need for this position include:

  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Previous experience with supervising and leading teams.
  • You must have experience around horses and knowledge of horse training activities.
  • Understanding of OH&S issues related to horse training activities.
  • Due to the elevated risk involved around horses, all team members must be first aid trained or prepared to undertake first aid training (PRC will maintain the currency of all staff first aid)
