Junior Foreman

Due to the rapid expansion of our stable, our Group 1 winning  team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced stablehand looking to take the next step in their career.

Those with foreman experience already are also encouraged to apply.

Matthew Smith Racing requires a Junior Foreman, with the aim to progress to Foreman in the near future. The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years experience in a racing stable, and have the following attributes:

• Excellent horse handling skills
• Very experienced in all aspects of horse care and husbandry, and general stable duties
• Ability to work as part of a dedicated team
• Ability to follow instructions
• The leadership qualities required to manage staff and day-to-day requirements in a fast paced environment
• A positive and friendly manner
• Be reliable and punctual
• A thirst for racing knowledge, and display a desire to learn

Salary commensurate with experience.
