Godolphin is a world-class global thoroughbred breeding and racing operation with an impressive tally of 330 G1 wins in 14 countries since our inception.

Godolphin has an exciting opportunity for an experienced horseman or woman to join our Education and Pre-training Team for the 2021 breaking season. This position is based at our Godolphin Kelvinside operation in Aberdeen NSW.

This position plays a vital role in preparing Godolphin yearlings for their racing careers and providing the fundamental training required to stand our horses in good stead for their life after racing.

Reporting to the Breaking In Manager, the successful applicant should be a passionate, reliable and driven individual with thorough attention to detail, a positive attitude, good work ethic and be willing to go above and beyond in the role.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Educating Godolphin yearlings in the fundamental training required for each horse to begin their racing career
• Ensure all horses receive the highest quality of care and maintenance
• Assist with general stable hand duties on a daily basis
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment
• Compliance with all organisational policies, procedures and processes and legislative standards and requirements

Desirable:

• Previous experience working within the Thoroughbred Industry
• Proven experience breaking/educating horses
• Current Drivers Licence
