Patrick Payne Racing is looking for a full time experienced stable hands to join our growing team at Plumpton to cover the afternoon shifts and weekends.
The successful candidate's tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Mucking out of stables, filling of water buckets, cleaning of buckets and feeders
- Cleaning and sweeping of stable areas, general maintenance and tidying of stable complex
- Groom, feed, handle and lead horse to their stables, on and off the walker and to and from the race track
- Prepare & Saddle up horses for their daily exercise
- Check horses for lameness, common injuries, ailments and infections
- Maintain stables and training equipment
- Accompany horses to registered race meetings
Essential skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in similar role
- Excellent horse handling skills
- Attention to detail
- Reliable and Punctual
- Truck License an advantage
