Sutton Racing is seeking an experienced Stable Foreperson to oversee our day-to-day operations. This is a leadership role within a top tier racing operation, offering a chance to work alongside Group 1 winning trainer Dominic Sutton and his dedicated team. There is also the chance to work towards becoming an Assistant Trainer for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the care and management of horses in the stable
- Supervising and managing stable staff and track riders
- Ensuring horses are groomed, fed and exercised too the highest standards
- Organising daily feed schedule, cleaning and general stable maintenance
- Maintaining accurate records of horse's medical records and gear
- Coordinating with the trainer on progress and performance within the stable
- Ensuring all work safe protocols and stable regulations are being followed
- Race day representation
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Stable Foreman
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of racehorse care, training routines and stable management
- Ability to manage and motivate a team
- Reliable and highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working early mornings, weekends and public holidays
- Experience with Prism
