Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Finance Manager is an integral part of the kniGGhts structure.
Your duties will be spread to satisfy internal requirements and those of our clients, including (but not limited to):
Internal:
- Management of staff KPIs and mentoring of a small team of enthusiastic support staff.
- Maintaining accurate financial records.
- Processing of weekly internal payroll for the business.
- Assisting the Managing Director with ongoing budgeting and forecasting.
- Preparation and lodgement of BAS, superannuation, workcover, etc.
External:
- Ensuring the integrity of data entered on behalf of our clients
- Analysis of monthly profit & loss statements for distribution to clients
- Communication of monthly performance with clients, including analysis of results vs industry KPIs
- Liaison with our clients and their external accountants re lodgement of BAS, tax returns, etc.
- Preparation of ad hoc reports and liaison with other key stakeholders as required
- Ongoing review of systems and structures with an eye out for continuous improvement
Skills and experience
- CA/CPA Qualification
- Registered BAS Agent or willing to work towards
- Experience in managing a small team
- MYOB and Xero experience essential
- Ardex experience advantageous
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a high quality of work
- A strong eye for detail and ability to identify systems requiring improvement
- Racing industry knowledge
