THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently recruiting for suitable qualified GAP Attendants to be based at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse.

This casual position will be required to work between the hours of 4am – 9am, primarily filling the role at the Roundabout with the opportunity for Gap Attendant duties when required.

Candidates for this exciting and challenging role will need to meet the following criteria:

• Be able to liaise with Track Work Riders.
• Oversee the gap or Equine thoroughfares for horse and rider safety;
• Direct vehicle traffic to ensure Public/horse safety
• Closing and opening of gates;
• Use 2way radios to communicate to judges;
• Check each rider for correct safety equipment before they can ride on the track;
• A demonstrable ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Sound oral and interpersonal communication skills;
• Sound literacy and numeracy skills;
• Experience working around or with horses is desired by not essential.
