THE OPPORTUNITY
The Assistant Track Supervisor will join the team at Royal Randwick Racecourse assisting with the responsibility for the operational control of relevant activities with training, trials and Raceday track work. Additional key responsibilities of the role include:
- Monitor all Randwick track work, Barrier Trials & Jump outs ensuring ATC safety requirements are met at all times;
- Inspect track surfaces ensuring an even surface in the best possible condition is always available for riding;
- Recommend staff training programs and improvements to safety and equipment;
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required.
THE RIGHT FIT
To be successful in the role, the right fit will possess:
- Expert knowledge & experience in riding, controlling and training horses;
- Extensive experience in Racetracks and riding;
- Demonstrated ability supervising racetrack operations;
- Proven experience with people management including providing leadership, motivation and training for all staff;
- Training delivery and evaluation skills;
- Computer literacy.
