Ciaron Maher Racing are seeking an experienced horse person to fulfil our Afternoon Foreperson position at Ballarat.
With over 200+ horses onsite, the Afternoon Foreperson will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the afternoon stables.
Duties will include (but not limited too) staff management, administering medications as required and updating medication logbooks, liaising with the Assistant Trainer and co-trainer, swimming horses, unloading/loading trucks, handling all types of horses including colts/stallions and green/newly broken youngsters, assisting vets/farriers and chiros as required, feeding horses and general stable cleaning.
The role is permanent Part-time Monday - Friday, 1:30pm - 5:30pm approximately. Some later finish times will be expected from time-to-time.
The successful applicant MUST have previous horse experience, have strong attention to detail and good communication. Employee management is preferable.
This role is paid well above award wages.
