Yearling Manager / Assistant Manager position

Diamond Park Breeding and Racing specialises in sales prep, foaling down, broodmare and breeding services.  We are currently seeking an experienced yearling manager / assistant manager who is multi – skilled across all aspects of horse breeding and yearling sales preparation.

In this role you are responsible for ensuring the overall wellbeing of horses in a variety of situations, such as training, transport, breeding and managing the preparation of horses for sales.

You would be required to have extensive proven experience in yearling preparations and be able to manage horses and lead a team of staff during various sales

Be able to manage the health and welfare of broodmares, foal’s, weanlings and yearlings

The successful applicant will be required to have the following skills and experience

• Proven yearling sales preparation and current experience working at the Sales
• Ability to work effectively with vets, farriers and external contractors
• The ability to lead and work within a small team
• Be competent in foaling down and have a strong understanding of foal management
• Must be confident handling colts
• We are seeking someone who is honest, has attention to detail and strong time management skills
