The Racing League is seeking a Social Media Manager who is eager to promote the thrills of racehorse ownership through all forms of organic social media.

We are on the hunt for an enthusiastic dynamic individual to develop, implement, track and optimize our digital marketing campaigns across all organic channels while growing TRL’s ownership base.

We are a tight-knit group of fun people, who are passionate about the benefits of racehorse ownership and are happy to be an industry game-changer. 

The Racing League - ABOUT US

The Racing League is the “New Force” in the world of racing. Since launching in September 2020, TRL has quickly grown to be the largest ownership group in Australia. 

TRL consists of THREE, 7 Horse Racing Teams, competing across the eastern seaboard as the NSW Tycoons, Vic Husslers, and the Qld Rogues. 

All teams are “up, racing and winning” with engagement about to go to a new level as the two-year-olds are now hitting the track in numbers.

TRL is knocking down the barriers of racehorse ownership, making it affordable for all Australians to own their share of a 7 Horse Racing Team representing their state through micro-ownership. 

A small but dedicated team, TRLs head office is based in Crows Nest, Sydney. 

What would we expect a TRL Social Media Manager to do?

 

This role is centered around managing the organic sales funnel and the three communities of The Racing League.

You will bring a proven track record of organic social media management, along with producing blog content, social content, landing pages, ads, and email copy that works cohesively together to guide prospects to the checkout - at scale.

This means you’ll have experience designing evergreen customer journeys, managing or guiding creatives, designers with your vision, and planning organic content schedules.   

TRLs social media manager will monitor, manage and communicate with all three TRL Team communities.  

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute all of TRLs organic digital marketing 
  • Manage marketing database, email, social media and organic display advertising campaigns
  • Develop and execute strategies to optimise customer conversion rates
  • Design, build and maintain TRLs social media presence
  • Design engaging customer journeys that convert visitors into prospects and prospects into customers - across email, website, blog, landing pages, ads
  • Manage and develop the blog content pipeline for prospective customers
  • Produce conversion-focused copy for our website, sales funnels, and social media
  • Manage the TRL Team community forums (NSW Tycoons, Vic Husslers & Qld Rogues)
  • Develop valuable lead magnets to build email lists
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
  • Collaborate with Paid Social Strategy Manager and other partners
  • Reply to comments on adverts
  • Reply to inbox messages from paid and comments on boosted posts
  • Content planning
  • Creation of organic assets
  • Tagging/copywriting
  • Brand management
  • Directing conversation in the community & monitoring for liability
  • Creating conversations about raceday/events/activities/naming
  • Feedback to team around issues, managing of expectations
  • Implementation and sending of TRL Newsletter & This Weekend in Racing

Required Skills

  • Proven working experience in digital organic marketing environments
  • Sound knowledge of the horse racing industry 
  • Experience in managing organic channels ie:  marketing database, email & social media
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
  • Canva skills
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
