Trackwork Supervisor/Facility Maintenance Officer

The SRC is a vibrant training and racing precinct having in excess of 200 horses in work every morning and has been earmarked for significant industry investment offering advancement in employment opportunities into the future.

THE ROLE

Based at Scone Race Club and reporting to the Track Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for activities relevant to track work, facility and race day maintenance.

You will provide effective leadership and supervision whilst providing a safe workplace to stakeholders and staff in ensuring adherence to strict industry and SRC standards and procedures. You will join a flexible workplace devoted to offering world class facilities to those utilising the SRC precinct.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• The capacity to develop and maintain strong relationships and obtain the cooperation of others;
• Ability to follow strict directions and standards and ensure adherence to these by others.
• Knowledge & experience in riding and or controlling of horses
• First Aid Certificate (current) and or ability to immediately attain
• Demonstrated ability supervising racetrack operations preferred but not essential.
• Proven experience in the operation of small machinery ie: Mowers, Brush-cutters
• Sound Written and interpersonal communication skills
• Caring, Reliable and Honest in character
• Open Drivers Licence
