Track Riders - Osborne Park & Crown Lodge

Godolphin is the largest and most global racing team in the world with an impressive tally of 350 G1 wins in 14 countries since our inception.

We are on the hunt for experienced Part Time Riders to be based at our Osborne Park (Agnes Banks) and Crown Lodge (Warwick Farm) Racing Stables.

We are seeking applicants with experience and confidence to further develop the education of our two-year olds at Crown Lodge and experienced riders who can confidently ride gallops to time at Osborne Park. Track riding experience is essential at both sites.

We want a passionate, reliable, and hard-working person whose love and admiration for horses is as great as ours. You must be flexible, have a positive attitude, good work ethic and be willing to go above and beyond in your role.

Tasks include:

• Assist in the preparation of horses for trackwork.
• Ride horses on the training track in a professional manner as per instructions.
• Provide assessment of horse work performance to the Head Trainer, Assistant Trainer or Senior Foreman.
• Monitor fitness and reporting abnormalities.

Essential:

• Good riding skills and a working knowledge of pacework
• Riding gallops to time.
• Riding gallops in pairs.
• Competent horse handling skills.
• Barrier Education.
• Sound communication skills.
• Ability to take and follow instructions.
• Comply with company policies, procedures and industry requirements relating to safety and animal welfare, including Rules of Racing.
