MURRAY BRIDGE RACING CLUB
Successful applicant will ultimately be responsible for Assisting the Track Manager with the day to day running, maintenance and preparation of the Racecourse, Training Tracks and ongoing maintenance of the racing club facilities at SA’s spectacular new racecourse at Gifford Hill with the prospect of becoming the Track Manager in the near future.
The position is based on a minimum 38 hours per week with a need for flexible work hours based around racing dates and some rostered weekend work.
Knowledge of Turf Management, preparation and experience in the use and maintenance of machinery is essential. Previous experience in racecourse management will be advantageous. Knowledge of Toro Irrigation and Management Systems.
This person will also be responsible for the supervision and management of Ground staff duties and ensuring all work is performed to safe workplace practices as well as an ability to keep working records.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
Assisting with Preparing and maintaining the spectacular new Gifford Hill Racecourse
Supervising and Training Grounds Staff and preparation of work schedule and reporting.
Maintenance and Servicing of Irrigation system.
Maintenance and Operation of Machinery and Equipment
Also includes maintenance of the Grounds and Facilities
