A position is being sought for a WA based Thoroughbred Stud Manager. The stud is located 1,1/4 hours south of Perth CBD.
The candidate will ideally have the experience to carry out the following: -
- Overall farm management including repairs, maintenance, improvements and reticulation.
- Managing mares for stud season to outside studs, about 10-15 mares.
- Foaling down and weaning.
- Yearling preparation for annual sales to highest standard, about 10-25 yearlings.
- Manage permanent and seasonal staff very well.
- Be very passionate about the thoroughbred industry and highly competent in handling and promoting thoroughbred horses including the highest levels of animal welfare.
- Competently communicating with client's as we also do limited agistment for spelling horses.
- Work unsupervised, thoroughly honest and reliable.
Nice home will be available, work vehicle and flexible arrangements for this 200 acre stud farm.
