Stud Hand

Swettenham Stud is a leading and renowned thoroughbred stud located at Nagambie Victoria and is dedicated to the breeding, rearing and development of thoroughbreds.  Swettenham Stud has opportunities for employment for the following position.

The position for Stud Hand will include the following duties but not limited to:

• Cleaning and mucking out of horse stables/yards
• Day to day preparation and dispersing of feed regimes to horses
• Handling and grooming of young stock and mares
• Assisting with management of horses whilst attended by veterinarians, farriers
• Perform drenching, vaccinations and veterinary treatments as instructed
• Preparing horses for departure and reporting of any injuries or illness prior to departure
• Working 12 day fortnight
• Other duties as required
