Experienced Stud Hand:
Sun Stud is seeking a motivated and reliable candidate for the position of Stud Hand
Based at Sun Stud’s Kerrie operation and reporting to the Stud Manager, this position involves in the daily care of Sun's mares, foals and Weanlings etc.
Assist in the daily care of Sun's stallions, mares, foals, weanlings, spellers & yearlings
Assist with vetting procedures, treatments and record keeping.
Assist with feeding requirements.
Assist the farrier, dentist with routine care of horses.
Assist with handling foals, weaning & yearling process.
Provide assistance in any other areas of the main farm including maintenance where necessary.
Report in a timely manner to the Stud Manager and uphold safe work practices.
Assistance in auction sales events may be required if necessary
Solid experienced Stud Hand is essential to the right applicant.
Salary matching experience will be offered to the successful applicant.
Qualifications Certificate ll / lll/ lV in Vet or Equine
Knowledge Working Knowledge of Equine Industry
Experience A minimum of 5 years relevant practical experience with the ability to display the required competencies
