With approximately 30-35 horses in work at any time, our team is small and efficient. We hope to provide you a great opportunity to further your career and contribute positively to our team.
If you are currently licensed with Racing Victoria, that's a bonus for us.
If you are not licensed, we hope you are eligible to be licensed by having completing the mandatory training units (Handle Racehorses in Stables & at Trackwork and Contribute to Health & Safety of Self and Others), or willing to complete them to become licensed.
Stablehands perform general stable duties to prepare horses in the morning for track work. Swimming, tacking, washing and feeding horses is part of the morning routine. In the afternoon, horses are walked, rugged and taking for a swim, and feeds and waters replenished.
Raceday duties are shared amongst our team, and depend on experience level.
