We now seek an experienced Stablehand to join our team in a full-time, part-time or casual position at Ballarat.
With approximately 30-35 horses in work at any time, our team is small and efficient, and working really well with each other.
Successful applicants will be currently licensed with Racing Victoria, or eligible to be licensed by completing the mandatory Handle Horses and Follow OHS Procedures training units.
Stablehands perform general stable duties under the direction of our Foreman to prepare horses in the morning for track work. Swimming, tacking, washing and feeding horses is part of the morning routine. In the afternoon, horses are walked, rugged and taking for a swim, and feeds and waters replenished.
Raceday duties are shared amongst our team, and depend on experience level.
