Stable Foreman

Team GBR is looking for a suitably experienced stable foreman to join our team at Hawkesbury.

The right person will want to become part of a team that are results-driven with the aim to compete against larger stables in Provincial and Metro Sydney Racing.

We are looking for someone who has a positive mindset with the right attributes to help our team move forward.

The successful employee will have previous experience working with Thoroughbreds and be an organised individual that can assist with the day to day running of the stable

Race day duties are also available.

This is a full-time position.

The role will require you to have

• Ability to work alone in a safe and responsible manner
• Be responsible for the attention and welfare of our horses
• Prepare horses for daily track work, including tacking-up, placement to/from the walker, and hosing down.
• Swimming and operating treadmill as required.
• Race day preparation and attendance when required.
• Follow Racing NSW protocols and procedures at all times.
• Track work riding would be an advantage but not a requirement

The successful applicant will:

• Be reliable, honest, and punctual
• Have a current NSW driver’s license
• Have experience working in a medium-sized racing stable
