Description

Thoroughbred marketing company Kick Collective is looking for a full-time dynamic person to join our team in an exciting and varied role as our SOCIAL MEDIA & CONTENT COORDINATOR.

The role will involve working with a range of thoroughbred industry clients on their social media and general marketing needs.

Being a work from home arrangement we are flexible with location. Flexibility for weekend/after hours work required (by nature of the industry). Travel to horse sales and industry events required throughout the year.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:

  • Social media strategy coordination and execution for Kick Collective clients

    • Primary coordinator for all social media posts for client day to day social media posting including race results, stallion runners, graduate runners, media articles and prepared content

  • Manage and develop the race result bot tool

  • Work with creative team on client social content calendar planning and execution

  • Write and post articles for client news including web and blog articles, client newsletters

  • Create brochure and website content

  • Keep client websites up to date

  • Develop and grow client social media channels

  • Research and develop content and editorial ideas

  • Organise freelancers (designers, developers, etc.) by sending task briefs and checking work

SKILLS:

  • High level of organisation and time management skills

  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under strict time constraints 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including exceptional spelling and grammar

  • Great attention to detail

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms

  • Basic working knowledge of WordPress CMS and Adobe Suite

  • Basic working ability of a DSLR

  • Skills in Photoshop, Indesign and video editing (Final Cut) are desired but not essential

EXPERIENCE:

Sound horse racing and breeding knowledge and interest is required.
