Description

Swettenham Stud is based in Nagambie, Victoria (with an office at Racing Victoria) and boasts one of Australia’s most enviable stallion rosters, including two new and exciting additions for 2019.

Due to significant growth over the past 12 months Swettenham Stud are seeking a new member of the Sales & Nominations team to work with our close-knit team to continue to execute our long-term growth plans and support the team administratively.

The ideal candidate will have worked within thoroughbred breeding and/or racing for 1-4+ years either in a sales or administration capacity and will be looking for a challenge in a growing business with multiple facets to the position.

Due to the diverse nature of the role, there is flexibility in level and location (Flemington/Nagambie or varying) of role, depending on the candidate.

The role encompasses responsibilities including:

  • Assist with Selling Stallion Nominations
  • Client Liaison with new and existing clients
  • Client communication (including on-farm mare updates, conception updates and racehorse updates)
  • Oversee Stallion Administration Management
  • Contract Generation
  • Business Development
  • Farm Visits
  • Racehorse Management & communication
  • Marketing idea generation
  • Pedigree Analysis
