Our head girl is moving on after two years and we are looking for someone to replace her. The role requires a motivated, honest individual with prior horse experience (doesn't have to be in the racing industry). We are a small but busy racing and breeding operation, and a small team of staff. The role is varied; there is riding available for the right person but is not essential (track work experience preferred if wanting to ride), exercising horses on the treadmill and around the farm, mucking out/rugging/feeding etc, dealing with foals, broodmares, yearlings and young horses, occasional cattle work! Taking/accompanying horses to the races and sole charge. Opportunity to progress and foreman position and training available down the track. Hours are negotiable - we generally prefer 30 hours (7-12 6 morning a week) but can discuss other options. Local person preferred due to nature of the job and lack of accommodation
