Description

The Pakenham Racing Club operates a high-class racing and training facility at Tynong as well as two 7-day-a-week hospitality and entertainment venues - the Cardinia Club and Club Officer.

Pakenham Racing Club (PRC) has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and organised Racecourse Maintenance Leading Hand who will report to and work closely with the Assistant Racecourse Manager.

The Leading Hand will be responsible for the scheduling, performance and completion of the daily and routine grounds, landscapes and track work that is required at the Pakenham Racecourse.

You'll be a great people leader and work closely with the team by overseeing the completion of work that is planned via the Clubs scheduling software (The Hub/monday.com).

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Overseeing the completion of all work as prioritised on The Hub;
  • Leading the Grounds Maintenance team members to ensure a high level of productivity;
  • Overseeing all work areas within the Clubs grounds and trainer allotments as required;
  • Management of contractors/ stakeholders and services that involve areas such as storm water, water, gas, electricity and other services.
  • At times, this role will also deputise within the Trainer Services area so experience and knowledge around working with Thoroughbred horses is idea.
