We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts / Admin person to be part of our team. You will work in consultation with other staff, but primarily managing your own workload.
This role is a key position at Lime Country and finding the right person is important as you will work along side the owners and deal with our team on a weekly if not daily basis.
We need someone who keeps others on task, has forethought for what needs doing on a weekly/monthly/annual basis and is approachable but professional.
You will have fast & accurate data entry skills, be used to working with good systems and procedures which you can bring to your role topped off with excellent organisational time management skills.
Frequently acting as “front of house” when dealing with our clients and service providers, you need to have a professional manner, work well under pressure when the occasion arises, have a cheerful disposition and represent the brand well.
Your duties will encompass all the avenues of office administration and a number of the accounts duties of a busy thoroughbred farm including but not limited to:
Data entry and month end using ARDEX, payroll, reconciliation of company expenses, BAS and company taxation requirements. While you will not be expected to file returns you will work with our accountant to provide financials as required.
Experience with ARDEX and MS Office Suite is essential, payroll experience is not essential but is desirable.
This role also has the opportunity to learn other aspects of our operation and become a highly valued member of our team who works to support the management team.
Job Hours: 27 hours per week Mon/Fri. There is some flexibility around number of days worked and start/finish times for the best candidate. If you are an experienced, hands on horse person as well who requires more than 27 hours per week available, there are potentially further hours on the farm to top this up to a 38 hour per week role.
Apart from statutory holidays you must be available to work during December and January due to the seasonal nature of the job and take the bulk of your annual holidays at other times of the year.
Extensive understanding of the thoroughbred industry
An understanding of (or first-hand experience) of thoroughbred sales is not a prerequisite but an understanding of the organisation of sales from an administration and support role would be desirable
Potentially this could be a role for someone with some of the required skills (but not all) who wishes to move out of a hands-on farm role and into an administration role and possibly support training could be an option for the right person.
Remuneration will be commensurate with experience, and salary pro-rata
