Night Watch Stud Hand

Do you want to work at a historic and picturesque Thoroughbred breeding farm and be part of Aquis’ exciting journey towards becoming one of the most successful operations of its kind in the world?

Aquis Farm at Murrurundi in the Upper Hunter Valley of NSW presents a unique opportunity to work as a Night Watch Stud Hand. You will be responsible for monitoring the health and safety of our horses during the night as well undertaking general stud hand duties to assist with the care and maintenance of the horses in preparation for daily stud activities. You will be required to work 3.5 nights per week (7 days per fortnight) with an attractive remuneration package on offer.

Key attributes for applicants:

• Motivated to work in the Thoroughbred industry
• High level experience with handling horses, including yearlings and weanlings
• Proven experience in assisting or working in a Foal Watch situation;
• Demonstrated experience working autonomously;
• Proven attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions; and
• An understanding and appreciate of Work Health and Safety obligations.
