Night Watch / Breeding season staff

Silverdale Farm is looking for a night watch person / breeding season staff for the upcoming breeding season. The farm is located in the Southern Highlands region, South West of Sydney near Bowral and close to the coastal area.

 

The successful applicant will possess a “can do” attitude, be passionate about the care of horses and have had previous experience working in stud farms. Responsibilities include, but not limited to : holding mares in the crush for vetting, helping with the farrier, monitor pregnant mares during working hours, notify/report to managers when mares are about to foal, report any issues with horses, keeping yards tidy, assist with foaling and post foaling care, handling foals etc.

 

Days and hours of work can be discussed to suit applicants. Remunerations will be commensurate with experience. Staff accommodation available on farm.

The successful applicant will be expected to start at the end of July 2020 and the position is for 4 months approximately with the possibility to join the team after the foaling season.
